Hands Down Studios develops high-quality animation for advertising, streaming, television, film, music, promos and more. We have created content for some of the world’s biggest brands and content providers, including Best Buy, HBO, Comedy Central, Netflix, and Amazon Prime.

We are collaborative, creative, and comfortable with diverse styles. Our core team has a combined 75+ years of professional animation experience and includes an Oscar-nominated shorts director.

WHAT WE DO

We do all phases of traditional, puppet and hybrid animation. Our flexible production model allows us to work with diverse clients and partners - from streaming networks to writer-creators to commercial brands and advertising agencies.

SHOWS

We make shows and content for TV, cable and streaming. We do all phases of traditional, puppet and hybrid animation. Our digital pipeline is powerful and cost-effective, to facilitate episodic productions. We’ve produced up to 60 minutes a month of network-quality animation.

COMMERCIAL

We work with agencies, businesses, brands and production houses to develop commercial content that is on-brand and powerfully resonates.

DEVELOPMENT

We develop shows, including designing concept art, preparing animation-ready characters and backgrounds, rigging, storyboard/animatic, and other pre-production steps, as well as sizzle reels and teasers.

CREATIVE

From music videos to documentaries, some projects need a more artistic approach. We’ll explore and experiment until we’ve got just the right solution. Creativity is in our DNA. We also make our own independent content.
