MONKEY CRACKERS

We created a fake, Soviet-era TV ad for Fox’s popular show, New Girl (season 2, episode 5). The first challenge was to make a cartoon character that looked enough like a monkey, but that also vaguely resemble the show’s popular star, Zooey Deschanel. We used a retro color palette, design style and special effects, and voila! Our musical advertisement for Monkey Crackers matched what we imagined Americans watching New Girl might imagine that vintage, pre-Glasnost cartoons might have looked like. (Did Soviet TV even have cracker ads?)
